Hi gorgeous! I'm SO glad you're here! My name is Caitlyn, and I am the brain behind Rainbow Rave Hats.
I am always someone that has had a passion for music and expressing my creativity, which I most often do so by attending an unhealthy amount of concerts, raves, and music festivals. However, I soon decided to begin my creative journey with my hats in 2019 after attending my second Bonnaroo before ultimately starting a business with this passion in 2021.
There are fewer things that genuinely make me happier than helping people feel like their best and most authentic selves, and that is something I strive for constantly with my brand: authenticity. This includes an idea that I advocate for often with my business, which is authentic inclusivity.
While I enjoy making my unique, sparkly goodies, what I ultimately enjoy the most is helping those feel seen, uplifted, and included in spaces where they may not usually get to feel that way. This means representing people of ALL skin colors, races, ethnicities, body types, gender identities, gender presentations, sexualities, and disabilities whenever possible. As someone who is queer, autistic, and disabled myself, I have experienced my own feelings of not being considered in spaces I should be considered. I want to help provide a positive community for all walks of life to feel beautiful and badass!
And just to be clear, I don't strive to do this to seek clout or boost my ego: I do it because it is something that needs to be done more often. Point blank period.

Rainbow Rave Hats FAQs
How do I place an order for a custom hat or pair of sunglasses?
If you would like to put in a custom order request, be sure to visit my Custom Order Form and Policies page and fill out the form to be contacted. Pricing will depend upon the design elements requested and estimated amount of time it will take to make your hat/sunglasses, but a nonrefundable deposit will be required during the consultation of your design to confirm your spot. Shipping will also vary on location and how quickly you need your order.

How long do custom and made to order items take to be made?
Expect them to take at LEAST 6-8 weeks to be processed, possibly longer depending upon how early you place your order before your event, how many other orders I have, etc. If you need a made to order item quicker than that, contact us before placing your order and be prepared to pay an additional $50 rush fee.

I need a custom hat/pair of sunglasses in time for a festival/event. Can you make that happen?
Absolutely! When you put in a custom order request, be sure to put the name of the event and date(s), but please keep in mind my typical processing time is at least 6-8 weeks.

I have a last minute festival/event that I need a custom hat for! Is that something you can help with?
I very rarely do rush orders due to the usual time that it takes for me to complete them. However, if I do find myself able to complete a custom order within a week or two of an event or past a festival deadline, a rush fee will be required, on top of additional shipping charges to ensure it gets to you on time. If you are wanting a rush custom order, feel free to fill out a custom order request that includes the date you will need your order by to see if I am able to complete it. Never hurts to try!

How long does an order take to be delivered once it's been shipped?
On average, standard shipping for orders in the US takes about 3-7 days for your hat to be delivered. Express shipping takes about 2-5 days, and next day shipping takes about 1-2 days for the hat to be delivered. For orders outside of the US, expect them to take anywhere between 3-14 days. Keep in mind all orders are shipped from Colorado, USA.

How does sizing for your captain's hats work?
Our hats are one size fits most (if you want to get technical they have a circumference of about 59-60 cm). However, I am more than happy to accommodate for other sizes in different ways. If you have additional needs/questions regarding sizing, feel free to contact me!

How does sizing for your cowboy hats work?
Our standard cowboy hats have a 23" circumference, which will fit between a standard 7 1/4 to 7 3/8 hat size. However, I am more than happy to accommodate for other sizes in different ways. If you have additional needs/questions regarding sizing, feel free to contact me!

How does sizing for your bucket hats work?
Since each hat is cut and sewn by hand, the size of each hat will vary slightly. If you have specific questions about sizing or would like to place a custom order for a specific size, feel free to contact us!

Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! You can use Afterpay or Shop Pay for any items currently available in my shop, or for custom orders once the final payment is available.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Rainbow Rave Hats does not allow exchanges. Returns, refunds, or partial refunds are allowed on a case by case basis if certain problems arise. If you have any problems with your order, please contact us and we will do everything we can to make things right!
